Can Your Watch Diagnose You? A New Era of Wearable Healthcare

Although we cannot fully depend on wearable watches. But to some extent they can help us update with our health.

Depending on watch for your health can be risky. Doing your regular test and match it with you watch data can help you to understand and validate that data.

Can we really depend on a watch???

Not all devices can give you a near values of your vitals. And expensive watches can also be not trusted at the same time

Wearable health devices like smartwatches are no longer just fitness trackers — they are becoming powerful tools in healthcare. These gadgets now monitor heart rate, oxygen levels, sleep patterns, stress, and even detect irregular heart rhythms (like atrial fibrillation). Some can alert users and doctors in real-time, potentially preventing serious health issues.

In this new era, wearable tech is helping in early diagnosis, managing chronic diseases, and encouraging healthier lifestyles. While they can’t fully replace doctors, they’re shaping the future of preventive and personalized healthcare.

Completely depending on the indications of smart watches might be dangerous cause the results or the values may be inaccurate, but may be helpful sometimes

As the Smartwatches are good for the early detection but we can’t depends on them totally. It may be risky for us.

Technology can provide support, but accurate disease diagnose require human medical expertise. Technology may not always diagnose correctly.

We cannot rely completely on the smart watches. The EMF radiation could also be harmful. So it’s better not to use smart watches.

It can tell our heart rate has increased
But is it due to a run, fear, anxiety ?
That still depends on human interface

Yes.it can show essential diagnosis quickly but i will always feel that it cannot be accurate all time .So it’s better if we don’t relay completely on smart watch

Smartwatches are okay for detecting heart rate , bp or other essential things but it can’t replace doctors. It is better to consult the doctors without completely depending on them

Well this could help us to an extent, but we can’t completely rely on its data and diagnoses.

Smartwatches and other wearable devices are useful in tracking our heart rate, oxygen level, exercise calories, etc. But I don’t think it would be a reliable approach for our health aspects. It might alert the users but the accuracy and reliability matters.

Smartwatches can’t diagnose, but they surely help with early detection and timely care. They’re a great example of how AI and health tech can work together for preventive healthcare.

Informative …but depending only upon smart watch is a bit risky

It is useful for people, In some disease like you mentioned it is very good
Eventhough it always makes you think about your health, people like to using it… to know about their health

Thanks for sharing about PPG

Wearable are helpful but not always accurate they can’t replace professional diagnosis or treatment
Its a tool for awareness

This is really interesting! Smartwatches can’t replace doctors, but they definitely help in catching early warning signs. If a simple alert can push someone to get checked in time, that’s a big win.

I think it is helpful and risky both …
Bcoz now-a-days people use to totally relay on electronics and smart watches can also carries defaults but sometimes it can be useful and sometimes it can be stressgiver also,so it cant be 100% reliable
