The social media is full of health coaches who tells us that, most of the foods that we are accustomed to eat in our childhood is not safe to eat now. Millets plays an important role in making rice and wheat a villain. Is rice and wheat that bad for us now?
The answer is no. But moderation is important. When we take more than it is required for our body, it harms us, especially since the daily activity or exercise has reduced. The more food we intake, the more we should make sure that it simply does not get stored anywhere and is used up properly.
Now take the case of millets. Millets are the food that was taken by farmers during olden times, which made sure that they get all the nutrition and is difficult to digest. This will prevent them from getting hungry easily. But that is not the present scenario. People eat, not to stop their hunger, but to fill the stomach. So having foods that are difficult to digest daily and not exercising accordingly can harm equally, as taking rice or wheat without moderation. So taking millets daily is not as healthy as you think it is.
