Balancing Empathy and Emotional Exhaustion in Healthcare Training – How Do You Cope?

During clinical postings or even while reading patient stories online, many of us feel deeply affected by what patients are going through. Over time, this constant exposure can be emotionally draining, but at the same time, we don’t want to become “numb” or detached.

How do you personally balance empathy with emotional boundaries so that you can care for patients without burning out yourself? Any small habits, mindsets or routines that have helped you?
