PCI has proposed converting the current 4-year B.Pharm into a 5-year integrated course to align Indian pharmacy education with global standards, particularly for those who want to make their career abroad, like in the USA, where a 5-year degree is required for foreign graduates to be eligible for the Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE). What do you think—launching this course alone, is it enough to meet the global demand?

Yes, the plan is good and PCI has included extra curriculum courses mainly focusing on the Industrial exposure. So, I agree with this change made by PCI.

5 yrs B Pharma will be good. It will make them competitive internationally.
5 year program should also include industrial training for atleast 6 months so that the student get exposure to the pharmacy professions
if they are making it 5 years , then they most provide the same repo with other 5 years courses. Not saying you are just for dispensing medicines. or open a shop.
