It’s natural to feel strongly about such matters, but we must think about the broader and long-term impact. The Indus Waters Treaty has endured through decades of conflict and tension, and unilaterally suspending it could lead to greater instability. Meaningful progress is more likely through diplomacy and adherence to international agreements than through confrontation.
