I think the most underrated skill is public dealing. Someone who knows how to handle tough conversations will fare really well in the healthcare field.

So true. There will be times when we question ourself for choosing this path.

I think empathy and compassion is the most underrated skill in healthcare, you just have to increase number of patients, show results, emotions are the last to come, may it be doctor’s or patient’s.

The most underrated skill would be learning emotional resilience along the way. The skill to show up no matter how you feel on inside is something every healthcare professional learns. There is pressure, ups, downs, failures, incomplete assignments, but we cope up .

Medicine and Healthcare teaches you more than just the subject. In a way it guides us in handling and dealing with our life that looks out to be necessary at any cost

Understanding what’s necessary in the field, communication, keeping up with emerging technologies, being keen to explore, learn, upskilling practically and ready to take up opportunities are plus in healthcare sector because, just being good at theory and subject especially as a student is not at all enough to sustain and grow in this competitive field.
