Have you found your dream, or are you still exploring different career paths?
In the world of medicine and healthcare, not everyone sticks to one path and that is okay.
Some of us know what we want early on. Others take time, detour, rediscover, or even start over.
Where do you stand in your journey right now?
Have you found your “Thing”?
Or are you still figuring it out, step by step?
This topic needs attention and interaction. Because so many people from Healthcare or STEM in general, feel burnt out from what they initially chose in hopes of a good future but then realise that their passion lies elsewhere.
And the sad part is most of the times you stand at this confusing and uncertain place where you do not know which way to move forward.
And talking about myself, I am still figuring out between my two pathways.
*On a side note - I wish there were more interdisciplinary approach and systems in both schools and colleges, which could atleast provide clarity about the vast array of careers that exist in today’s world.
I think we all keep building our dreams throughout our lives. There’s no one big fixed dream as such, as once we achieve one, we try creating the next milestone in our head to achieve it, as that’s how the mind of humans are. I personally enjoy all small and big dreams of mine and I enjoy mostly the journey of learning more as compared to the achievements. It’s such an adventure to loose a little, then gain, and again move forward and like that keep building the graph of life. Having a reality check that way is what keeps the growth of my life intact. We are allowed to have multiple dreams and we are allowed to work hard and fail for each dream of ours, as nothing goes in vain at the end, that has been the learning of my life up until now. Some day, all our learnings get utilized at certain points and then we realize that, thank God we knew how to handle it.
To be honest, I am still figuring it out. What once I thought of paving the way to a good future doesn’t really worked and that pushed me to explore more on my career field. It is also a sad reality that most of us are not completely aware about the scopes and opportunities that comes with our field. We are more exposed to the roles or fields that are hugely popular and doesn’t really explore the other options which might align with our interest. This might eventually make us retour, rediscover or even start over and that is completely fine because life comes with many lessons which help us to become a better version of ourselves.
Still figuring it out step by step. I believe with patience, a little luck, and trust in the process, things will fall into place. Sometimes it’s clear, sometimes confusing—but I’m learning that it’s okay. As long as I keep moving forward, I’ll reach where I’m truly meant to be.
I am in the middle of that exploring phase. I am a bit confused between choosing biotech marketing, bioinformatics, or regulatory affairs. Lately, I am more drawn towards regulatory roles but am still unsure. Would love suggestions or advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation!
There are lot many options available in the healthcare and medical field. My confusion is still that, will I be able to land in the job that I need? Landing in the dream job is important… But how? Still confused.,…
I haven’t found my way just yet, but I am slowly narrowing down my field of vision, striving to excel at the path I have chosen for myself at this point in time. Everything else, leisure and hobbies will become secondary for a while.
Sometimes, we chase a dream so hard, we forget to pause and ask if it’s still our dream. I believe we’re all somewhere on that journey some living it, others still shaping it. And that’s okay. Dreams evolve, and so do we. It’s not always about reaching a destination but finding meaning in the path we choose.
