Medical field is dynamic and advancing at a rapid pace. New drugs, new surgical techniques are being developed everyday. Doctors should stay updated regarding the same.
CMEs ( Continuing Medical Education) are usually a one day programs conducted by the local organising committees for this purpose.
In these programs, interesting, challenging cases are presented. Clinical trials for new drugs & their efficacy in real life, new techniques for procedures & surgeries are discussed. Post graduate residents are encouraged to attend these CMEs to upgrade their knowledge & present cases from their hospitals which can boost their confidence.
CMEs are beneficial as they keep the doctors well informed & aware about the latest advances in medicine in their field.
