18 million people getting help is not a small number , if funding stops or reduces then not only new innovations but even ongoing treatment might suffer .Research saves lives . Cutting funds is like cutting hope . Government and global health system should support such institutes more .

When the funds get cut either the research workers are paid less or they will lose their job. So the research will be done with available man power which is leads to either slow progress in research study or put lot of pressure in research professional to meet the timeline. It reduces the number of persons who study in scholarship which make difficult for financially weak persons to get into research hard. When the number studies declines patients who may get treated with hope of getting cured by studies also decline.
Overall it’s not good to for reasearch professional as well as patients.
