Cancer Train of India

Every night, a train leaves from Punjab carrying hundreds of patients toward Rajasthan for cancer treatment.

People call it the **“Cancer Train.”**Not because it’s officially named that. But because almost every compartment carries someone fighting cancer.

Why is this happening?

  • Excessive pesticide exposure
  • Groundwater contamination
  • Poor occupational safety
  • Delayed cancer screening
  • Limited access to local oncology care

For many families the bottle is also against:

  • travel costs,
  • delayed diagnosis,
  • loss of income,
  • emotional exhaustion,
  • and unequal healthcare access.

The “Cancer Train” is not just a medical story. It is a reminder that public health failures eventually become human stories.

Have you ever heard about this Cancer train?
