Why is discipline more important than motivation in the long run?

Discipline and motivation are two aspects of work done. some need motivation and some do with discipline. motivation is temporary and discipline is stable . it i a habit and require a lot of effort to maintain discipline .

we cant work according to motivation , if you feel motivated you do work and if you not feel motivated you will not, this doesnt work like that correct.

discipline is a quality which is build gradually with lots of efforts and which gives higheer reward for long term goals .

So I believe disciplineis more important than motivation. What are your thoughts on this ?

True it is impossible to stay motivated whole time to do the work . Discipline and consistency play important roles in managing tasks.

True sometimes motivation can evaporate with life’s situations, but constant discipline help in attaing goal and maintaing motiavtion.

True. Discipline drives you even when you aren’t motivated. Staying consistent, disciplined and doing your bit everyday, instead of rushing an entire day and doing nothing for weeks, takes you a long way on the path you once decided to walk on.

very well said. discipline–most important than motivation.

motivation is temporary, it can help us to start but discipline is consistent, it keeps us going.

Motivation depends on how you feel. And feelings fluctuate. Some days you’re driven, other days you’re exhausted, stressed, or just not in the mood.

Discipline, once gets into you, doesn’t ask how you feel. It focuses on what needs to be done.
