Why farmers should use Bio pesticides and Bio insecticides

Farmers should adopt Bio pesticides and Bio insecticide-derived from natural resources such as plant, bacteria, and minerals- to achieve sustainable, residue- free crop protection that is safe for human health and environment.

Unlike synthetic chemicals these eco-friendly agents specifically target pests without harming beneficial insects, reducing soil pollution, and preventing the development of pest resistance.

Main reason for using Bio pesticides and Bio insecticides.

  • Eco-friendly and sustainable: derived from natural products they degrade in soil without leaving a harmful residues promoting long-term soil health and ecological balance.

  • Target - specific & safe: they affect only specific target insects or pathogens and do not destroy beneficial insects (like pollinator) or harm animals and humans.

  • Resistance Management: they prevent pests from developing the resistance commonly found with continuous synthetic pesticides use. Because they often work through novel mechanism.

  • Improve soil biology: unlike chemical pesticides that can contaminate soil with toxic compound, Bio pesticides often improve soil health.

  • Example and types:

  • Botanical pesticides: Neem- based products( Azadirachtin).

  • Microbial pesticides: bacillus thuringiensis (BT) , fungi ( like Trichoderma) , and viruses.

  • Beneficial nematodes: microscopic, soil dwelling organisms that kill targeted pests.

Conclusion: We should motivate farmers to use Bio pesticides and Bio insecticides so that everyone will get healthy vegetables and fruits and also we will know the real taste of food
