The moment patients hear the term “side effect,” many immediately become fearful or assume the medicine is harmful.
In reality, not every side effect occurs in every patient it differs based on the patient and many are mild, temporary, or manageable with proper guidance.
At the same time, lack of counseling can create confusion, causing some patients to stop treatment unnecessarily while others may ignore serious reactions that actually need medical attention.
This made me think that understanding medicines is not only about knowing their benefits, but also about learning how to communicate risks clearly and responsibly.
