WHO Warns of "Silent Antibiotic Crisis" — But Are We Teaching Enough About It?

The WHO recently declared antimicrobial resistance (AMR) as one of the top 10 global health threats, with predictions that drug-resistant infections could kill 10 million people per year by 2050. Yet in pharmacy colleges, AMR is often brushed over in a few lectures. How are we supposed to fight a global health war without real training in antibiotic stewardship, resistance patterns, or rational prescribing?
