Which one if NOT Littmann Stethoscope?

Since stetho- election (Buying a Stethoscope in First Year – Is Littmann Worth It?) saw a uniform thrashing of Littmann stethoscope, I am just wondering what are the less expensive stethoscope brands for medical students in India and abroad?

I am using Indosurgicals silvery II-SS sthethescope.
It has good sound quality.
Microtone is good sthethescope with good sound quality.

In India students generally use Microtone or Dr Morepen steths. They are cheap with decent quality and sound for the price

FriCARE and Omron are the two brands I’ve seen my seniors use alot during their postings.

As someone who goes around using a lot of different stethos (just to compare) here is what I rank

  • Littmann - 7-9K
  • H Das (Hironmoyee das) - 1K (absolute unit in it’s price range. Heart sounds are at par with Littmann if not better, respiratory sounds are a bit harder to hear)
  • Microtone
  • Elko
  • Indosurgicals (some of the indosurgicals I used were absolute dogshit but some of them quite decent, so I won’t comment)
