Mine was Prosthodontics.
To me, it was the department of creativity.
I genuinely enjoyed making dentures and prostheses, there was something so fulfilling about seeing a patient smile again because of something you built.
It wasn’t like Community Dentistry, which felt more like theory and statistics. Prostho was practical.
It had a bit of art, a bit of science, and a whole lot of hands-on learning.
That’s probably why I loved it so much.
My favourite subject is Exercise Therapy. It’s really very interesting to know how a particular exercise or treatment technique act on a particular part of a body and how beautifully it can cure the patients problem with just a physical movement.
For me it varies. If I went to one department I like that, then for next clinical posting I like that. I think as I am 3rd year now after end of 4th year I’ll understood about each department more and reach to one department. Currently, I like dermatology and respiratory medicine.
I love Oral Medicine and Radiology. It is integrated subject where you read all the systems of the body and their inter-relation with the oral health. When your diagnosis is correct, your treatment plan goes in the right direction.
I like industrial microbiology and medical microbiology. These two subjects helped me to understand what kind of microbes we are dealing with day to day life.
Mine was pharmaceutics.
In that subject i have learned various types of dosage forms and equipments used to prepare the dosage forms, injections ,granules, lozenges that was quite interesting to read and learn so i like this subject.
My favorite subject was Pharmacology. I loved understanding how medicines work in the body, how they can heal, and sometimes harm if not used right. It felt like learning the ‘language’ of treatment, and it connected science with real-life patient care.
