“Let’s do it some other time.” How often do we use this phrase in our daily conversation? I think it’s so common to hear it. It seems harmless until one day we realise that time never came, and now it has become our wish. I wish I had done that, met that person, attended that event or learned that art, and so on.
If it feels so wrong afterwards, then why do we tend to delay at that moment?
The answer to this is simple: the moment we say such words “some other time”, we feel that we have more important things to do that need our attention. Satisfactory answer. Now it feels we took the right decision. Let’s pull every string to understand this. So what are these important things?
- Busy with our daily chores
- Meeting deadlines
- Responsibility of the house
- Completing tasks
- Preparing for the upcoming exams
Honestly, the list is never-ending. Over years, our mind has been designed that it believes in the fact that life is defined by how successful we are, whether we own a bike or a car. And success comes only from working hard and achieving targets. Avoiding the real question of how many times we have used that bike or car for our own happiness, like going on a road trip with friends and family.
Are we LIVING or just SURVIVING?
No doubt, all the materialistic things are needed to lead a good life. Working for a better future is not wrong at all. But in this process, we must not forget our real purpose: To live a life to its fullest and make each day count. Everyone has their own way of living life. Do whatever gives meaning to your life.
Recently, I have started what I feared: Painting!! Yes, you heard it correctly. I thought playing with colors might ruin my paintings and I am not good at it without giving it a try. I have hands-on sketching though. But when I started painting. Guess what? I nailed it. And now there is no some other time. There is always taking out some time.
Explore yourself. Know yourself. Love yourself.

So on which side are you on: Living or Surviving? Share the things you missed out on and might be willing to give a try.
