When healers ignores their own health...!!

Lifestyle diseases such as obesity , hypertension, diabetes and mental health disorders are increasingly being observed in healthcare workers in early stages of life often during medical school training years.

Irregular sleep schedules, late night duties ,poor sleep quality , unhealthy dietary patterns etc contribute significantly to early metabolic and hormonal imbalance .

Medical trainees often priortize patient care over self care which leads to physical inactivity, caffeine dependency and skipped meals ; which further increase cardiovascular and metabolic risks. Additionally prolonged pscychological stress can lead to increased cortisol levels contributing to weight gain ,insulin resistance and immune suppression.

Early awareness , preventive lifestyle intervention ,stress management and instituional support systems are essential to reduce long-term disease burden in healthcare professionals .

Engaging question:

Can you suggest some preventive lifestyle interventions to lead a healthy life.

Due to such a skewed ratio between medical professionals and patients, physicians have to work over time to treat patients. If this ratio is balanced doctors can work in manageable shifts and can focus more on their health.

Yes , I agree.

Very insightful to talk about this point of view, where often people forget to even think this exists! Great.
