Prions are the sub family of virions, They don’t have their particular structure so they belongs various shaped, prions have only their genetic materials , Normal prion isn’t harmful for humans or animals as they are the part of our body. But the problem arises when mutation occurs to their genetic materials, They are started behaving abnormal and shows some symptoms in animals as well as humans also. Normal prions are indicated as prpc but the abnormal one is indicated as prpsc. Also in the abnormal form the alpha helix switches in the beta sheets position. For that results devastating neurodegenerative diseases such as JACOB in humans and Scrapie in sheeps.
