Today I heard about it so come and discuss.....do you know 🐾 Alien hand syndrome?

Actually due to lesions in🧠 Corpus callosum and supplementary motor area in brain one hand acts independently - may grasp, touch or interfere with tasks.

:person_blond_hair:Patient is aware of it but can’t control it.

Often post-stroke or surgery.

Due to know something more??

Major sign is involuntary, purposeful movements in a limb, without the patient’s conscious intention… Patient feels like an alien controlling his hand since he himself is not doing it..

Kinda scary…

Alien hand syndrome is a rare neurological condition where one hand performs involuntary movements, acting independently of the person’s will, often caused by brain injury, surgery, or neurodegenerative disorders.
