Three young boys in Pakistan live like any normal kids, active an energetic during day and become completely paralysed at night. These are the only three cases of this peculiar nocturnal paralysis observed, and it left doctors quite surprised as kids were normal during day even when kept in dark. Rare genetic factors could be the cause as their parents are cousins and these three out of six siblings are the only kids suffering from this issue. This case appeared around 2016 and gained global attention which also bought international assistance in diagnosis and treatment of this disease. While the exact genetic cause has not been reported yet, Muscular dystrophy and Myastgenic syndrome has been ruled out and these children seem to be deficit in neurotransmitters like dopamine which are provided to them through medication, which helps them stay conscious at night. The details about treatment are not provided, the positive news is it helped the children live a normal life.
