The link between the Gut bacteria and Heart: Current Insights

As a Pharm.D, Professional,I always excited to learn things newly and to upgrade my knowledge with current research,So today I came with an interesting discovery from the recent research of MAX DELBRUCK center that reveals a powerful gut-brain and heart Connection.
The indole 3 acetic acid(IAA) is produced from the gut bacteria and it will help to regulate heart function. This IAA acts on hypocretin and prevent them from more active in the hypothalamus and here is the point I actually Want to connect when this IAA levels are low, stress neurons overstimulate the sympathetic nerves which result in heart muscle stiffness(diastolic dysfunction)which is a key driver of Hypertension. In this research animal study result says that restoring the levels Of IAA could help to improve heart relaxation and blood pressure, while in human study the low IAA levels were observed in hypertensive women. Here I end the post by leaving you a question.

Can measuring the levels of IAA could be a future biomarker for managing hypertension?
