I believe pharmacists need to follow strict protocols regarding prescription medications and OTC medications. When there is no accessibility, patients will naturally turn to Practitioners for prescription of medications. Pharmacists play a vital role in patient safety.

An important awareness to be known by the pharmacists. As a registered pharmacist, I feel like this should be made aware around the pharmacists circle. Pharmacists should ensure proper prescription to be produced by the patients at the time of purchase, check the date of prescription, keep a register for such medication’s purchased and also counsel the patients regarding their side effects. If the patients comes without prescription I will not give them the medication rather advise them to go and consult a doctor regarding their condition.
