Should NEET UG/ PG be the only pathway to medical education in India ?

According to you, is it fair for our fate to be decided by a single exam ? Is the current mcq pattern and fixed syllabus along with rigorous coaching helpful or would a mix of assessment methods like board exam marks, interviews and practical tests create a more balanced system?

Should India just stick with NEET or open up different pathways for aspiring medical students in India ? Lets discuss about it

Absolutely not

Healthcare is very vast … There are many options when it comes to healthcare …

For graduation … BSc nursing, BSc psychology, BSc forensics, BSc home science etc…

For PG… MSc Nursing (hold more job opportunities than doctors ), MSc psychology in any particular funnel branch, MSc Nutrition etc…

Apart from this some non clinical fields like Hospital Administration are also there (MHA, MBA) … And epidemiology studies (MPH) …

A more balanced approach, combining board marks, interviews and aptitude tests could better reflect a student’s true potential and make the system more inclusive.
