Should healthcare students learn more about nutrition during their education?

Nutrition plays a major role in recovery, immunity, chronic disease prevention, and overall health. Yet many patients still struggle to understand what “healthy eating” actually means in practical daily life.

As healthcare students, we often focus heavily on medicines and disease management, but nutrition itself can influence treatment outcomes significantly.

This made me think that stronger nutrition education could help healthcare professionals provide more holistic patient care in the future.

Do you think nutrition education should receive more importance in healthcare courses?

The root cause of most of the health related problems is lack of certain nutrients and minerals in the patient’s body. Nutritional education will provide a supporting backbone in the prevention and treatment of health issues.

Nutrition is very important, especially for healthcare workers, to build up good immunity
