Safety in a hospital is not just a Protocol, its the responsibility that protects patients, healthcare workers and the entire system.
Why its Important?
Safety week celebration serves as a reminder that.
◇Every step in patient care matters
◇Prevention is better than correction
◇Teamwork is important for better safe environment.
There was a safety week celebration in the hospital I work .
Where it was themed as Engage ,Educate, Empower
Which includes Fire safety. Patient safety, Environmental safety and all.
Where the whole week was celebrated with all the staffs being trained and educated with all safety measures that ensures patients and coworkers safety.
such a informative poster. Surely safety of patient, healthcare workers and others in healthcare facility is responsibility of each an every employee. Healing follows safe and positive environment.
informative post.
very well said – safety isn’t a one week event, it’s a habit we built every single day, that protects patients, healthcare worker entire systems.
Safety is a relative term. It has many different components in its equation like the internal and external environment, risks,… We can all do our best to ensure that We can all do our best to ensure that every person in our care goes home safer than when they arrived which only happens when safety stops being a checklist and starts being a mindset that every individual in the system carries with them, every single day.
Good initiative by the hospital and wonderful representation of safety measures in the poster. Every hospital should organize such kind of a celebration.
Safety week reinforces us to remain vigilant at every task we perform. Safety is particularly important in healthcare because we deal with patients. Even a micro error could land patients in trouble.
Lastly, as a Pharmacist, it is important to recheck every medication that reaches the patient.
Wonderful. Not just patient’s rights but also actively taking steps to protect the rights of the health care professionals, especially women, should be demanded and employed. Even the smallest of things, something as basic as a ‘safe’ doctors duty room is questionable in the present scenario. Let’s not even bring in the question of basic hygiene, as a women, I’m sure we’ve all have had thoughts running through our minds about our safety. And this is after we’ve had a hectic day, our body craves for sleep. Yet there’s this thought sneaking in. At the place, we thought would be safe. The place we chose to stay: to avoid travelling alone at night, ironically, to feel ‘safe’ stands out to be worse. I’m sure we’ve all heard stories and incidents that prove my point and I don’t need to speak about it in elaboration. The hospital administration, should pay attention to this, something which is being brutally ignored in most set ups.
This is an important reminder that safety is a mindset.
Also very inspiring to see that everyone came together and celebrated one week for it.
Small initiatives like these can help in building values which will contribute for better tomorrow.
This is really impactful celebrating as a safety week with all the staff members is encouraging, reinforcing commitment to patient care, emphasising the importance of a safe environment for patients.
