Respiratory Disorder is an adverse condition or state of disease affecting the lungs and other parts of respiratory system. Various types of respiratory disorders include:
All above-mentioned disorders are related to filling up of pleural space (between lung and chest wall) by one or the other abnormal fluid and causing symptoms such as difficulty in breathing, chest pain, etc.
Treatment of these disorders vary according to the causative source of particular condition, however the main purpose is to treat underlying condition with focusing on drainage of blood, air, pus, other fluid as well.
Other precautionary measures to keep lungs healthy include:
- Adopting healthy lifestyle- quit smoking!
- Use air purifiers if surroundings have polluted air.
- Keep proper ventilation.
- Take healthy and balanced diet to boost the body’s immunity.
- Regular exercise (especially breathing exercises) and yoga or Pranayama should be included in daily routine.
