Honestly, anything related to cardiovascular pharmacology confuses me.

I don’t recall a specific topic that confused me the most. More than confusion, remembering and revising pharmacology content was challenging.

I don’t think I found anything confusing. It was a bit difficult to remember and recall classification of all the drugs.

The concept of an inverse agonist and the distinction between an inverse agonist and an antagonist have long perplexed me, requiring considerable time to fully clarify the confusion.

The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) is notorious for these “confused” moments because one neurotransmitter can cause opposite effects depending on the receptor.

Ohhh…. that’s a tough question to answer in being able to select just one topic that still confuses me in pharmacology hahaha! yet ill say the concept of sympathetic and parasympathetic and the drugs metabolising enzymes, which inhibit each other, affecting each other’s action.

I often get confused in the chapter “Pharmacology of Drugs Acting on the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS).In particular, I find it difficult to clearly understand and differentiate between adrenergic and anti-adrenergic drugs, as well as cholinergic and anticholinergic drugs. Remembering their actions, receptors, and clinical uses sometimes feels confusing.

It’s not confusing, but remembering classifications in pharmacology is one ride of a hell, very volatile subject.

:+1: Totally relatable! Which part of the ANS trips you up the most , sympathetic or parasympathetic pathways?

:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Same here! Do you use mnemonics or case examples to help separate sympathetic vs parasympathetic effects? :brain::light_bulb:

:beating_heart: I get that! Which cardiovascular drug class gives you the most headache? Beta blockers, ACE inhibitors, or others? :man_shrugging:

:chart_increasing: Oh yes, PK can be tricky! Is it absorption, distribution, metabolism, or elimination that feels like a maze to you? :cyclone:

:grimacing: Same struggle! Have you tried mapping receptor types like α, β, and muscarinic to make ANS effects more visual? :framed_picture:

:sparkling_heart: Totally! Is it the drug mechanisms or clinical indications that confuse you more? :high_voltage:
