Recite, revise and PSM... The big milestone of FMGE/NeetPG PSM preparation

PSM being important and easy is one of the easiest Big 4 subjects in the bulk of Obgyn, medicine, and surgery.
It is not only scoring, but also easy to understand with direct question recitation in the exam.

Contributing 15% that is 25-30 questions in the exam , PSM is one of the “big value easy marks subject”.

The core of Public health includes biostatistics, epidemiology, health programs, nutrition, and social determinants.

Although it is easy to study and score , it is important to revise and recite because the information we study from PSM can easily get away with the pile of other important Big 4 subject topics.

Flowcharts of various programs helped me rmr abt it .
I also tabulated the nutritional requirements and pasted it in on the study desk . Trust me passively reading it every day worked!!
I correlated pediatrics , pharmac and obgyn with few chapters too

PSM is a great subject. We just realize its importance and value much later.

Some tricks to make PSM well revised before the exam are:

  • using flashcards for dates and data
  • use of visual aids like flowcharts and mind maps
  • practicing MCQs actively
  • summarized notes for each chapter
