The word exam feels like an enemy to us but we all have to fight and win over it everyone has different strategies to prepare and give exam
Me being a pharmacy student I will share my experiences and strategies I know many will relate with it.
Exam in b pharm are not just about mugging it is a mix of concept, application and memorizing. As it include subject like pharmacology so drugs and it’s classification is byhearted while structures in medichem is a memory based concept and pharmaceutics required applicational knowledge about dosage formulation
Before exams I used to plan so much by counting number of days and subject and dividing it but nothing works as syllabus is so much to cover and real panic starts 4-5 days before exam so now real task starts of collecting pyq’s understanding the pattern asking seniors and getting notes from friends asking everyone how much they studied refrences and what not it was used to be make or break situation.
Strategies I followed during exam :-
By making flowchart ,diagrams,short notes and mnemonics.
Finding important topics and studying them well.
By observing paper pattern and predicting the possibility of questions.
Some topic has no shortcut like classification structure and SAR so it was done by practicing it again and again.
We used to study in group and used to distribute topics among ourselves and explain it one by one as it saved time and we used to cover all topics Trust me it is the best method in exam hall we remembered every bit of it .
Mistakes to avoid during exam:-
Studying new topics a day before exam .
Ignoring classification and diagrams .
Just reading everything and not understanding the topics .
Trying to cover all topics .
