Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs)
Both central and state governments are rapidly handing over public hospitals to private players, thinking that it will improve efficiency, reduce costs, and expand access.
Points to look at:
- What happens to the free and universal healthcare? - being replaced by insurance-based systems.
- What happens to the poor and people who come under a low socioeconomic status?
- What will be its impact on the medical education cost?
** Public money is used to create infrastructure, which is later handed to private players — forcing citizens to pay twice: once through taxes and again for services.
What’s your view/opinion on this?

Definitely this system of transferring public hospitals to private players is purely based on the intention for increased economy than promoting public health. Rather than providing free or very cost effective healthcare to the public especially to the underprivileged population, this situation is going to make them pay hectic sum for healthcare which is nowhere near affordable. Moreover, the medical education cost would also increase as the free or Government seats would be converted to self financing or management options by these private players.

Same thing. Same action. Same effect. Just a different story. Most of the times the government never does things for public unless it’s in their favour. And at last someone who is affected is common public. That too, mostly suffers at expenses.

Voice to be raisen regarding this matter but the primary point to be kept in mind is who listens even though unity is not present in people nowadays and everyone are racing for the money and people became selfish and self centered and seeing themself and giving importance to themself first.

This is a very critical issue. In reality, they can lead to several challenges.
PPPs making healthcare less accessible and more expensive for people.
Private people see Hospital as a business nowadays.
Everything is just about money.
