How the Method Works:

The Anode: Wastewater is fed into a chamber without oxygen. Here, bacteria munch on organic waste.

Electron Transfer: As they digest the waste, they release electrons. Instead of keeping them, they transfer them to a metal plate (the anode).

The Circuit: These electrons travel through a wire to a second plate (the cathode), creating a flow of electricity.

The Clean-up: While this is happening, the bacteria are effectively breaking down the pollutants, leaving the water much cleaner!
