Pharmacology Mnemonics That Got Me Through My Viva Without Blank Stares.

Hey Pharma family!
Let’s be honest “pharmacology can be a memory monster.” some mnemonics that helped me survive the viva rounds:
1.Beta Blockers (Non-selective)
•The ProPHeT Lacks Selectivity
Propranolol, Pindolol, Timolol, Labetalol

2.Anticholinergic Side Effects
•Dry as a bone, blind as a bat, red as a beet, mad as a hatter.
(Dry mouth, blurred vision, flushed skin, confusion)

3.TB Drugs (RIPE)
Rifampicin
Isoniazid
Pyrazinamide
Ethambutol.

4.ACE Inhibitor Side Effects
“CAPTOPRIL”
Cough, Angioedema, Proteinuria, Taste changes.

Do you have any that helped you score? Let’s build a pharmacy student cheat-sheet here!
