Peanut Oil - A Healthy Choice For Diabetes and Heart Health

Peanut Oil, also known as ‘groundnut oil’ or ‘arachis oil’, is a plant-based vegetable oil. It has a mild nutty or neutral flavor, generally considered as a healthy option in the category of cooking oil, but only when used in moderation. Studies suggest that peanut oil is generally considered safe for people having diabetes and/or heart- related issues.

However, some considerations are there to keep in mind regarding peanut oil, such as high level of Omega-6 in peanut oil needs to be balanced, and people having allergic reactions for peanut must avoid consuming peanut oil. Filtered version of peanut oil should be preferred over refined form as the filtered version undergoes minimal processing and retains natural nutrients of peanut oil.
