Introduction

College life and school life are really tough. There is a lot of pressure from exams and social expectations. Many students get very stressed. Have a panic attack. A panic attack is a fear that makes you feel really bad. If you know what to look for and how to help it can be easier to deal with.

Body

A panic attack is when you suddenly feel really scared and have physical reactions even if there is no real danger.

Common Symptoms

* Your heart beats fast.

* You can’t. Feel like you are choking.

* You feel dizzy. Like you are going to pass out.

* You. Sweat a lot.

* You feel like something bad is going to happen.

Grounding Techniques for On-the-Spot Relief

* The 5-4-3-2-1 Method: Look at 5 things touch 4 things hear 3 things smell 2 things and taste 1 thing.

* Box Breathing: Breathe in for 4 seconds hold for 4 seconds breathe out for 4 seconds and hold for 4 seconds.

* Focus Objects: Look really closely at something near you like its texture or color.

Long-Term Management

* Go to bed. Wake up at the same time every day to feel less anxious.

* Don’t drink much coffee or energy drinks they can make you feel like you are having a panic attack.

* Use the health services on campus if you need help.

Conclusion

Panic attacks are really scary. They don’t last forever and you can get help. As interns it’s really important to know about health so you can help yourself and your friends.

A good health services in campus and awareness is important to deal with this.

I personally know two three people who experience panic attacks frequently. To avoid these panic attacks, they are advised by their counsellors to journal their thoughts, to practice breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, and music to keep their mind calm at times of stress. In day-to-day life, people can manage their stress and prevent panic attacks by indulging in activities that gives them sense of refreshment

Panic attack is very common due to work pressure. Most of the time if I have work pressure I ll move out from work place and spend some time in good oxygen and watch for sometime, it really help me to boost up.

A workplace that encourages open communication and teamwork often makes challenging days much more manageable
