MUSCLE LOSS AS EARLY AS 40's- ARE INDIANS THE SUFFERER!

Seven out of every ten Indians have a poor muscle health. These are the recent study conducted by many researchers and issues in peer journal.
It’s possibly one of the earliest references to loss of muscle with age known as sarcopenia.
Sarcopenia is a accelerated loss of skeletal muscle mass which can lead to decline in mobility in humans. This in turn cause falls, fracture and premature mortality.

What are the signs?

  • Tired, feeling weak, looking frail
  • poor grip and frequent dropping of things
  • Difficulty climbing stairs
  • Poor balancing
  • Being prone to falls.

Management:

  • Do a Sarcopenia test and other function test to rule out muscle loss.
  • A balanced diet accumulating more proteins.
  • Do exercise and strength training.
  • Brisk walking or cycling.

Concluding, mind your habits for more muscle strength along with ideal protein intake and good sleep.

The combination of low protein diets and lack of strength training causes so many Indians to lose critical muscle mass right in their 40s. Raising awareness about resistance training and proper protein intake is so necessary for healthy aging.

Maintaining adequate protein intake, regular exercise, strength training, and good sleep can help prevent muscle loss. Early recognition of weakness and balance problems is important for healthy ageing and better quality of life.

Very important topic. More health awareness is needed among the people. The importance of a low-oil and spice-balanced diet shouldn’t be ignored. Light power training exercises with walking can be more beneficial.
