MBBS, Present vs Future

Yes, I completely agree to this.
and hence it is losing somehow its dignity and strong purpose.

It does feel that way sometimes like MBBS is just the ticket to write NEET-PG. But honestly, MBBS is so much more than just an eligibility box. It’s the foundation where you learn to be a doctor, understand patients and build your skills.

NEET-PG tests your knowledge but the real growth as a doctor happens during your MBBS years and beyond. So yes, MBBS opens the door, it is just the beginning of the journey, not the destination!!

MBBS in India initially ensured competence, but increasingly feels like a necessary NEET-PG ticket. Ideally, medicine’s deeper purpose matters—curiosity, service, research—not just postgraduate eligibility. Choose purpose over minimum criteria.
