Levodopa Gel for Parkinson's

An intestinal gel called Levodopa-carbidopa (LCIG) has been developed for the treatment of Advanced Parkinson’s Disease (APD), to ease motor dysregulation and provide long term symptom control.

Although this has been the gold standard of Parkinson’s Disease Therapy for a while now, the results are not always predictable and often show only temporary signs of improvement.

What are your thoughts on LCIG?
Are temporary treatment options worth it if they have little guarantee of fixing the problem?
