A new study in Nature Medicine suggests that as few as 3,000 steps a day may help reduce Alzheimer’s risk and cognitive decline, even in older adults with early signs of the disease.

Following nearly 300 adults for nine years, researchers at the Harvard Aging Brain Study found that people who walked between 3,000 and 5,000 steps daily demonstrated slower brain aging and protein buildup compared with individuals who walked less.

Experts say even light, consistent activity boosts blood flow, reduces inflammation, and supports brain health.

You don’t need 10,000 steps, just a few thousand each day may keep your mind sharper for years.

Even little mind exercises like- reading daily, planning, engaging in deep conversation helps to prevent dementia. Just like other muscles in our body, brain needs daily exercise to stay active. Its important what we feed our mind- by reading good books, listening to engaging conversations/ podcasts.
