AI came into existence in around 20th century. The AI we know today is the advanced version of that. AI has proved itself to be helpful to humans professionally and personally. Today, AI is being used in healthcare, finance & banking, retail & e-commerce, education, media.
Lack of human emotion and fatigue makes AI very efficient. AI based automation cuts down the need of human workforce and its capacity to crunch massive data into crisp information makes its superior to human brains. More we use AI, more dependent we become.
However, its capabilities depend on how the developer wants to set it. But with advanced development of AI technology, it has created a threat of job displacement. Humans losing their jobs to AI technology has already begun.
Due to lack of stringent rules for use of AI, it is being misused for several purposes like spreading fake information and creating deep fakes. There is also high risk of misuse of personal information since AI requires vast information to function.
As promising as AI seems to be, how sure can we be that it won’t threaten human intelligence.AI seems to be a scary tool whether being misused or whether it is being overused.
We may not accept it but we can feel the danger of AI overpowering humans is lurking us. What is your take on this?
I get your point, it does feel a bit scary. But I don’t think AI itself is the danger, it’s how we use it. It can replace some jobs and be misused, but it also creates new opportunities. The real issue is control and responsibility, not AI overpowering humans.
Yes definitely AI can overpower humans. There is an urgent need to put regulations on AI use which will lead to prevention of use of AI for unethical purposes.
That’s true once you use an AI and get a perfect answer in just a few seconds individual do feel like going back and back to check what an AI has to answer or offer to the same question, to the extent that many times individuals ask some basic questions to AI, showcasing their dependency
True, though with the use of AI in fields speed the process, provides accuracy, interpretation within short time is very useful but thinking process is limited . AI only generates what is asked sometimes some situations need human thought process beyond the topic given and AI generates only limited content. Strict action should be taken or limited time limit should be issued to control the situation.
Well said- the more we use AI, the more dependent we become.it can definitely impact jobs, but as Nvidia CEO Jensen mentioned - you’re not going to lose your job to AI, but to someone who knows how to use AI better.
