Talking to the seniors, mostly will admit they have felt the same way

During hospital postings, I handle imposter syndrome by reminding myself that learning is a process. I ask questions, seek feedback, and stay focused on improving a little every day. Talking to peers and mentors helps me realize I’m not alone in feeling this way.

Asking doubts to seniors, PGs and also from friends and clearing it.

Talking to mentors and taking some self time off… It helped me a lot

Honestly, imposter syndrome and self-doubt are pretty common especially during hospital postings when everything feels new. What helps me is reminding myself that I’m here to learn not to be perfect. I try to focus on progress over perfection. Additionally, I lean on my peers and mentors when I feel unsure.

Talking to people who are experienced .
Having some alone time .

Reminder to self learning is the only constant and this is a part of the journey

I think, that’s the part of the process. It indicates the positive nature that - " Yes, may be i lack in some parts" and that become the first step for the medicos to do more hardwork, finding answer to the questions and do more work on ourselves.

So it’s good and that’s how we can handle it in my perspective.

We always talk to seniors.

Imposter syndrome is when capable people doubt their abilities and feel like frauds, despite evidence of their success. They often fear being “found out” and struggle to accept praise .

Each day, we need to keep learning. It is a journey, so no need to feel overwhelmed.

Most difficult yet most useful technique is challenging our own negetive self talks, the moment you start doubting your self; try focusing on something else like your-something you enjoy doing, successes, or what would you like to eat today?, etc. Little diversion helps in reorganising our thoughts.
And also, this technique helps you to break down that chain of those unyielding thoughts.

To tackle self-doubt, it’s always best to talk to your seniors, peers and teachers.

Simply by communicating or sharing my feelings with a mentor or therapist. Also understanding my self-worth and bringing back my focus for growth and progress.

Writing a diary helps me alot!

Acknowledge the feeling, remind yourself you’re still learning, and focus on growth over perfection. Seek feedback, ask questions, and remember every doctor once felt the same way. You’re not alone

And yes very important talk to your seniors and peers they’ll surely guide you

Just telling yourself that you are doing your best at the present and you have a long learning journey to explore and learn.

Reminding myself of the things that I’ve accomplished through my journey helps sometimes.

Imposter syndrome and self-doubt are really common, especially in hospital settings where the pressure is high.
It helps to remember that no one knows everything and asking questions is part of learning. Talking with friends or mentors can make a big difference too, it reminds you that these feelings are normal and everyone goes through them. It’s all part of growing and getting better at the job.
