HIV/AIDS in India: Still a taboo or a resolved public health issue?

While India has made significant progress in managing HIV/AIDS as a public health concern, the social stigma and taboo surrounding it still exist, especially in rural areas, conservative families, and even some healthcare setups what should be done ?

To break the stigma around HIV in India, we need comprehensive awareness programs that go beyond just biology targeting schools, families, and rural communities with culturally sensitive messaging.
Training healthcare workers to approach HIV with empathy and confidentiality is equally vital.
When education, media, and policy align, stigma fades and support grows.

Extensive awareness campaigns targeting schools, colleges, and community centers and
Media Campaigns via television and social media to spread positive stories and factual information, challenging myths and stereotypes can be helpful!!
