One of the most difficult medical battles is pancreatic cancer, which spreads quickly, hides well, and frequently leaves patients with few options. We have a small but significant foothold thanks to this new research from Roswell Park, which indicates that the protein HNF1A may encourage the spread of cancer and that FGFR4 may be a “lever” that we can eventually pull to slow or stop that process. I don’t mean to imply that this is a remedy just yet. However, potential new approaches like this are rays of hope for those battling this illness. We must demand trials, promote funding, support additional research, and, most importantly, prioritise the dignity and choices of patients. This type of research serves as a reminder to those whose lives have been impacted by cancer, whether directly or indirectly, that science can provide solution for any problem

Cancer survivors should prioritize a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains while limiting processed food and excess sugar. They should engage in regular exercise, including aerobic activity, strength training, and yoga, which help maintain body weight and improve strength and energy. Managing stress, getting quality sleep, avoiding smoking and alcohol, and staying consistent with medical follow-ups are all important for long-term health for cancer survivors.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) reported that Cancer Survivors, who adopted the ACS Nutrition and Physical Activity Guideline after diagnosis, live longer. The society have followed up them for 14 years.

The guidelines recommend

· avoiding obesity

· engaging in regular physical activity

· following a healthy diet, and

· limiting alcohol

During follow-up, 3,101 men died, including 912 from cardiovascular disease and 453 from prostate cancer.

Cardiovascular disease is the most common non-cancer cause of death for this group of men, said Dr. Ying Wang, senior principal scientist, epidemiology research at the ACS and senior author of the study.

The limited study relation shows a inverse association of cigarate smoking and prostate cancer incidence ,but smokers have the increased risk of death from prostate cancer .Apart from smoking other risk factors include STD, inflammation, and obesity

So its better for a cancer survivor patient to avoid all these risk factors for a better life and all these will help them to avoid CAD too since all these risk factors (except STD) were associated with CAD

The long-term survival of prostate cancer survivors can be significantly impacted by basic lifestyle decisions, such as maintaining an active lifestyle, eating a healthy diet, and quitting smoking, as this study demonstrates. A important reminder that rehabilitation and general well-being still heavily depend on good activities.

In my point of view, cancer survivors should undergo yearly screening tests and follow angiogenic diet to improve their overall immune system which is compromised due to multiple anti cancer therapies.
