Dental plaque deposits around the gingiva which consists of variety of bacteria like streptococcus mutans, lactobacillus are the microbiological causative agents for this.
During pregnancy, hormonal changes and shifts in bacteria can raise the chances of developing a pyogenic granuloma. However, keeping up with good oral hygiene can help prevent it. Usually, a simple scaling is enough to treat the issue.
