From Heartbreak to Hope: A 7-Year-Old’s Legacy Preserved Through Organ Donation

On 5th of July 2026 , Sunday, Kerala witnessed a extreme act of selflessness and social service by parents of a 7 year old boy Lokineni Yashwan who was declared brain dead after suffering from a road traffic accident. They decided to donate his organs to preserve their child’s legacy.

Through this noble act they have given new lease of life for many patients across the state. A total of six organs both kidneys, corneas, liver and a heart valve were donated.

A single posthumus donor can save multiple life and improve the quality of life of many more. I feel short of words to express how my respect for the parents who have made this noble decision even after suffering from such great loss.

What are your thoughts on Organ Donation and will you pledge to become one?

Organ donation is definitely a selfless and noble act. I will definitely pledge to become an organ donor to give the gift of life to someone who truly needs it.

Yes, I would pledge to become organ donor. Organ donation is the best thing in healthcare. With organs donation we can give new life to multiple people.
