Thank you for sharing your 48-hour fasting experience. It’s interesting to see how the body and mind respond at different stages of prolonged fasting. I’m curious to know which phase you found most challenging and what key takeaways you gained from this experience.
Your experience highlights the metabolic and mental shifts during fasting, but extended fasts should be approached cautiously and ideally under medical supervision to ensure safety and sustainability.
Thanks for sharing your 48-hour fasting experience — personal narratives like this help highlight how our bodies respond differently to extended fasts. It’s interesting to see both the benefits and challenges you faced, and it’s a good reminder that anyone considering prolonged fasting should listen to their body and, if needed, seek professional guidance to do it safely.
I have followed intermittent fasting for a short time, and here are some benefits I observed in myself:
Increased focus
Fewer cravings
Muscle gain (as I was working out simultaneously with adequate protein intake)
Great mood and energy (after adjusting for 2–3 days)
Your experience captures the metabolic and mental shifts of prolonged fasting well, but extended fasts should be individualized and ideally supervised to balance benefits with safety and sustainability.
Thank you for sharing your experience sir. It is interesting and informative!
Interesting…
Intermittent fasting is a great way to regularize the body’s metabolism. However, it may vary from person to person and age to age. Undergoing rigorous fasting without understanding the normal functioning of your body could be detrimental.
Yes, it’s true the tranquility you experience is at next level. There Is this tradition in Jainism that they fast for 8 continuous days where only bolied water is taken between the period of Sunrise and Sunset and not even a single piece of food. I tried the fasting and seriously I was amazed at the results.
Wow!
8 days water fasting means risk of protein ( muscle) loss too.
