Every migraine is not a migraine

Migraine is a type of severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head. It’s often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. However, every migraine is not a migraine.
There can be various types of headaches that a person can experience, which are similar to migraine.

  1. Tension Headaches → feels like a band around the head and might be mistaken for migraine when it is severe.
  2. Sinus Headaches -->headaches that are localized and along with nasal congestion.
  3. Hypnic headaches → they are also called counterclockwise headache, which occurs during deep sleep, which is usually bilateral but can be unilateral and mimic migraine.
