Every degree has value: don’t doubt yourself!

No matter if you studied Pharma, Life Sciences, Dentistry, Biotech, or Medicine. Your hard work, late-night study sessions, and countless exams all matter. Your education has value. :flexed_biceps:

It’s easy to compare ourselves with others because some land high-paying jobs right away, while others face career gaps, rejections, or confusion about which path to take. But remember: everyone’s journey is different.

:sparkles: A gap does not define you.
:sparkles: Rejections are not failures, they are redirections.
:sparkles: Switching paths is possible if you keep building skills.
:sparkles: Higher studies, when chosen wisely, can be a powerful boost.

Your degree is not “wasted.” It’s a foundation. How you use it, build on it, and believe in it will shape your career. :seedling:

So if you’re waiting for that first chance, feeling stuck, or doubting yourself, take a deep breath. Opportunities will come. Plan smart, keep learning, and trust the process.

:thought_balloon: What keeps you motivated when things don’t go as planned in your career journey?

That’s true, every field has its own greatness. Whether it’s Pharma, Life Sciences, Dentistry, Biotech, or Medicine, each one plays a major role in healthcare. Doctors can’t treat without medicines, pharma can’t innovate without research, biotech brings new therapies, dentistry ensures oral health, and life sciences help us understand the basics of disease. All are interconnected, and every contribution truly matters.

Exactly, every degree has its own value, it can either make you successful early or can guide you to success later. I do agree that it can be frustrating and mentally exhausting when things doesn’t go as planned and you are having a phase of stagnation. But, trust the process, have faith in yourself, keep improving your skills and knowledge, and everything will turn out well.

I completely agree, but the reality is that things have become way too competitive these days. Speaking of my own field—dentistry I’ve never believed it to be superior or inferior to any other profession. The real challenge lies in the fact that there are so many dental practitioners out there today, which makes finding real-world opportunities quite difficult. At the end of the day, we need to carve our own path and discover unique ways to excel in whichever field we choose.

This is THE mindset to have, any degree is truly what you make of it regardless of what society tries to impose or make you feel. We need driven and accomplished individuals from every field to keep the world turning, no specialization is ever a waste of time!

This post really speaks to the heart of what many students and graduates feel. What keeps me motivated is remembering why I started my passion for science and helping others. I also remind myself that every rejection is just a step closer to the right opportunity. Talking to peers, reading inspiring stories, and learning new skills gives me hope. Even small progress matters. We’re all building something valuable, even if it takes time. Thanks for this uplifting message.
