Its the harsh reality today that the professional which was used to be for patients benefit are now treating patients as their source of income. We can’t say that doctors don’t deserve to earn money, of course they do, but not by exaggerating the medical procedure.
Not everyone is same but if even a single doctor is doing this that demean the whole system.
Healthcare organizations should always prioritize ethical practices and patient health and care. Money is important, but patient well-being is more important.
Ethics and earnings can coexist when patient welfare remains the priority. Healthcare is a profession first, and a business only as far as sustainability allows.
As healthcare professionals, we are bound by ethics and have a responsibility for our patients’ well-being first. At the same time, we should not forget that this is a profession we earn our livelihood from. In my opinion, ethics and money can and should go hand in hand-honest and ethical practice builds trust and credibility. In the long run, doing the right thing can be both morally fulfilling and professionally rewarding.
the line that patients may forget the treatment but they never forget how you treated them hits home. Healthcare to be more mindful rather than just being money minded
Yes ethics are not considered anymore . I totally agree with you and also the high cost of medicines as redily made it available to needy ones. Now it’s just about profession no humanities are existing
As you’ve said ethics and money sometimes blur, yeah true that it all emerged from negligence. As a healthcare professional we must stick to our protocols.
Ethics is the most important thing and for the healthcare professionals the patient’s health should be their top priority, these sectors nowadays are highly commercialized
It takes time, but if we practice ethically and honestly, money does come. It may not make us millionaires, but it is often enough to provide a comfortable, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyle.
Unpopular opinion: Currently everyone is working just for money especially doctors , they put money and their profitable deals with MR’s before patient health and treatment protocols.
REASON : As this field is becoming more and more crowded, people are realising it’s better to earn more money early than to depend on the money of dm or any other super-speciality government seats for which competition is on sky rocket these days.
Patients should always be provided with honest information and appropriate treatment options without letting financial gain take priority over patient care.
