I completely agree. Money is definitely very important in running the practice, but it should never comprise on patient’s well-being. We need to be honest about the treatment options and respect patient’s choice. It builds trust and also keeps the purpose of healthcare intact.
I think ethics and money can definitely go hand in hand in healthcare. Healthcare professionals deserve to be paid fairly for their time and skills. The problem starts when money becomes more important than the patient’s well-being. Earning well and doing the right thing should be able to coexist.
As human ethics should always be the priority else no person is a human.
In healthcare everyone earns an optional money but when greed comes then ethics gets destroyed. Self control on greed and satisfaction should be the approach to treat a patient and always inform the patient beforehand about the cost of treatment wheather they can afford or not.
